Senior Corporate Counsel, Studios

Amazon Studios is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel to join the legal affairs group.
This attorney will be responsible for supporting production legal matters for Amazon's original television (scripted and unscripted) programming and movies content in international territories.
Responsibilities include:
Managing all legal matters during the course of production, and developing forms and policies Structuring, drafting, and negotiating production services and above-the-line talent agreements for actors, writers, producers, and directors, as well as below-the-line crew and other production-related agreements Structuring tax incentive arrangements Evaluating rights issues, reviewing content for copyright, trademark and defamation risks as well as standards and practices compliance, and reviewing marketing and publicity materials Overseeing outside production counsel and advising on day-to-day production issues Partnering with Amazon's creative and production teams to ensure that agreements are timely negotiated, scripts are reviewed prior to shooting, and legal compliance issues are addressed throughout production Analyzing and interpreting contracts and providing thoughtful legal advice on potential risks and issues in a wide range of legal areas, including immigration, intellectual property, labor and employment, public policy, safety, and tax.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
