Description
Worldwide Product Fulfillment (WPF) manages SPE's library and distribution operations for all of Sony Pictures Entertainment's post-theatrical business lines. The division provides services related to the preservation and restoration of assets, mastering and foreign language creation, content manipulation, and file and tape-based delivery to worldwide clients.
WPF IT Support supports an application portfolio of over 20 applications utilized by the various WPF departments. We provide business process analysis, project-based application and process enhancements, along with break-fix application support. Our development team is comprised of both on and off-shore resources.
Application Support
Help provide day to day application support to our line of business.
Application Development Projects
ASAP Application Enhancements
Assist in working with the business to define requirements, test and deploy enhancements driven by changing business requirements.
WPF QC Application Enhancement
Assist in defining requirement to stream line the process to create QC reports.
Assist on application enhancements throughout the SDLC.
Corporate Projects
Help implement and document various security initiatives associated iTEC and ITRAC.
Departmental Initiatives
Assist in defining and implementing departmental processes.
Rolling out departmental file shares.
Assist in the analysis and documenting the LOB business processes and defining application workflows.
Work within the SDLC
Assist with Project definition
Writing application specifications
Learn application deployment methodologies
Testing application enhancements
Direct application support
Exposure to bug tracking and ticketing system
Exposure to Change Management process.
Business functions
Perform Business Analyses functions
Gain exposure to other IT organizations
Learn basic Project Management principles
Working with on and off-shore development teams
Gain understanding of what role Worldwide Product Fulfillment meets at Sony
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would have the following skills:
Basic Project Management process understanding.
Understanding of SDLC.
Possesses a good working knowledge of all common technical platforms.
Strong service orientation and focus.
Have good verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of continuous process improvement methodologies and customer satisfaction measurement practices.
Has above-average, creative, intellectual, imaginative and original problem-solving skills and able to implement solutions for moderate to difficult software problems which may involve custom programming and software development.
Demonstrates the ability to be flexible and deal with change both internal and external to the organization.
Has the ability to work independently under limited supervision to accomplish small tasks that require coordination between multiple departments and people
