Our department is in charge of overseeing all casting for every Sony Pictures Television pilot, series and Movie of the Week produced. Interns will see how a TV pilot/series is made. They will read scripts and learn the process of day to day casting on a series. They will attend table reads, tapings, watch dailies and attend studio screen tests.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Observing all meetings with talent, table reads, studio sessions, tapings etc
- Attending showcases and studio sessions
- Reading scripts, making actor lists
- Light filing and rolling calls
- Attending casting sessions/studio auditions, network and studio tests
- Oversee casting for all Sony shows
- Maintain relationships with agents and managers
- Greeting talent and deal with any Talent relating issues
- Interfacing with development and current departments
- Researching actors and brands/current trends


The Spectrum Internship Program's Fall session is a part-time, 20 hour/ week commitment.

- A self starter and quick learner
- Small knowledge of actors on our shows is a plus
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of studio casting process is a plus
- An organized, motivated, multi-tasker
- Proficient with both Mac and PC
- Works well with others/ good attitude
- Comfortable on the phone and capable of answering multiple lines
- Punctual and sense of urgency
- Passion for Entertainment

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
