Description
Networks Finance is responsible for accounting for Sony's International TV Networks.
Networks Finance is part of Sony Pictures Television and has 40
fully operated domestic & international channels in Asia, Europe, Latin America & Africa. Networks Finance is responsible for budget/forecast & month end close, consolidating all financial information from all networks for financial & management reporting.
To participate & be a part of the overall daily activities/tasks within Networks' finance group whether it is related to month end close process, SAP/ad hoc analysis, SOX process and various special projects. The individual will be assigned to certain tasks that will promote learning opportunities in accounting application, Excel, SAP System, analytical & problem solving related to finance/accounting matters for various international network operations & financials.
The individual will be part of a fast-paced work environment that encourages a rapid development of valuable characteristics in order to be successful at any workplace/position such as team work, dependability, positive & proactive attitude, honesty & integrity, effective communication & interaction.
The individual will be working closely with Finance Managers and be exposed to the Balance Sheet, P/L, Cash Flow & various other financial reporting components.
Opportunity to be part of Networks' finance/accounting group & learn about month/year end accounting close process, & on-going special projects. The individual will be exposed to the following areas:
SAP R/3 and Business Warehouse System/Reporting which are used by many entertainment companies
Month end close process of International Networks (Balance Sheet, PL, JEs)
Ad hoc reporting & projects
SOX & audit documentations and record requirement
Preparation of quarter end schedule and corporate forms
Required skills:
Student pursuing Accounting/Finance degree
Strong Excel skills
Self-starter
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple requests/projects
Strong communication skills
