Description
Finance Optimization Team (FOT) includes Global Process Business Leads (PTP, RTR, OTC, etc.,) responsible for managing the Recovery, Wave transitions and supporting projects initiated by Corporate Finance business process improvements, application implementations and change management initiatives. Additionally the FOT manages project activities for Cadency Global Rollout, CCM, PPM and Service Now (GBS and SGBS KPIs).
Our team manages a portfolio of Finance projects and is also responsible for Finance Process management activities. We would have the intern assist process documentation, data analysis, gathering requirements for analyzing user requirements, taking meeting notes, testing and working with our end users on coordinating end user testing and acceptance (UAT) and working with management to assist in the following areas:
Cadency Global Rollout (Phase 2) - Est hrs./week: 5
CCM recovery and transaction monitoring - Est hrs./week: 10
Wave 5 transition - - Est hrs./week: 16
Process Recovery Activities for PTP, Stat and Tax, IM, RTR, and T&E - Est hrs./week: 10
The candidate could also assist with project coordination activities: preparing project schedules, updating plans, collecting status reports and publishing them to stakeholders. There would also be some design documentation including Visio diagrams and training prep and delivery. The majority of the projects we manage are Finance and IT in nature.
Exposure to high level executives within the business and in IT. The main skill learned will be that of a Business Analyst, understanding Finance Processes, SDLC (software development life cycle) and project management fundamentals.
Also, by being involved with the Finance applications the intern resource will learn the end to end Finance processes The intern will meet folks from every level and department in Finance and IT as well as help drive process improvement plans and changes.
Qualifications
Skills required: Fast learner, problem solving skills, great communication (written and verbal), strong, outgoing personality that is comfortable with all levels within the business.
