Summary The Communications Specialist will provide copywriting and content creation support for the Marketing and Communications department.
This will include writing fundraising emails, newsletters, social media copy, blog posts, and other web copy.
The Communications Specialist will work in collaboration with the Content Marketing Manager to follow and continuously improve key messages, writing style guide, and community guidelines for social media.
Primary Duties Support development of content calendar and content sharing strategy for Didi Hirsh Mental Health Services that aligns with our mission, target audience, and communication goals.
Write copy and contribute content ideas for social media strategy Works closely with the development team and communications team to write compelling fundraising copy to support our initiatives Support redesign of website by writing web copy and collaborating with departments to ensure accuracy of content Provide copyediting support for communications from the Development/Marketing/Communications department Support the creation compelling stories that demonstrate the mission and impact of Didi Hirsch.
Support content creation for external communications, including regular email newsletters.
Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or related field.
1-3 years of communications experience.
Excellent writing skills with strong attention to detail for AP style, spelling, and grammar.
Commitment to ethical storytelling, employing a human-first approach Experience marketing to diverse audiences in multiple languages preferred.
Collaborative and goal-oriented colleague comfortable working cross-functionally with multiple departments and key stakeholders Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage any individual regardless of background.
Exceptional at multi-tasking and time management, able to drive multiple pieces of work forward simultaneously while meeting all deadlines.
Current California driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier.
A commitment to team objectives and Didi Hirsch philosophies.
Healthcare or non-profit industry experience preferred.
Experience in fundraising writing a plus.
Video editing capabilities a plus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
