Job summaryAmazon is seeking a self-motivated and creative communications professional to support proactive media for Amazon's physical retail businesses, including Amazon Fresh grocery stores, Amazon Go and Amazon Style.
You will be responsible for driving proactive stories about the great people who work across Amazon's physical stores and the ways in which our store teams support local communities.
You will have a solid track record of telling meaningful stories and establishing communication programs that resonate with key audiences.
You will be able to work quickly, create and implement large-scale campaigns, and have a high-level of creativity and experience in working with reporters, influencers and leveraging digital/social channels.
You will work closely with regional public relations leads to drive consistent and comprehensive messaging.
The ability to influence and support communications colleagues and to work with broad stakeholder groups from all levels of the organization will be vital.
Key job responsibilitieso Develop and manage day-to-day proactive media strategies across geographies that focus on our people, working with store leaders and associates to develop stories in compelling ways.
o Write, develop and manage approvals for news releases, blog posts, media advisories, fact sheets, and related media materials for Amazon's physical retail business.
o Research and integrate industry news, trends and compelling angles into PR programs.
o Build and maintain relationships with key national and local media outlets.
o Provide guidance and coaching to store leadership in media training and storytelling.
o Develop content to promote Amazon's physical stores on our owned channels.
o Willingness to represent Amazon as a spokesperson.
o Roll up sleeves and get work done, even when at times it's outside of the scope of the job.
This position can be located in Seattle, WA; Arlington, VA; Los Angeles; New York; Chicago; or Austin, TX.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
