Amazon Studios is the movies and television development and production arm of Amazon.

We are looking for a business affairs executive to add to Amazon Studios' film and television group.
This role will also support our services across all scripted and unscripted deals in the Canadian and Australian territory.
This role will be located in Culver City, CA, and will require travel.
Key job responsibilitiesThis business affairs executive will negotiate above-the-line talent deals (i.
e.
, writer, producer, director, cast, etc.
), development deals (i.
e.
, original scripts, book rights, format rights, etc.
) and production company deals in Canada and Australia.
Further, this candidate will support Amazon's Legal Affairs team to finalize agreements, and to address production issues as they arise.
You will have a demonstrated ability to effectively interact with local agents, managers and outside attorneys, and be able to efficiently communicate with Amazon Studios Creative, Production, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Tax and Legal teams.
A comprehensive working knowledge of Canadian and Australian film and television industry business models, development and production methodologies is necessary.
Further this candidate should be capable of addressing multi-territory guild regulations, contract law and intellectual property rights, and posess excellent drafting, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational and computer skills.
This business affairs executive must be able to manage a varied, high-volume workload efficiently, operate within corporate parameters, and remain cool and levelheaded in pressurized situations.
A successful candidate is expected to be able to work collaboratively with colleagues across the studio, build internal client relationships, effectively advise senior-level executives under time-sensitive conditions and generate client satisfaction through clear thinking and risk analysis.
About the teamThe Business Affairs team represents the commercial negotiating arm of Amazon Studios, and is comprised of lawyers and negotiators that enjoy the challenge of finding creative solutions in an evolving VOD marketplace.
We are the Amazon representatives that interact directly with third party studios and talent, and are focused on translating market expectations and Amazon's global vision.
