We are looking for a talented Corporate Counsel to support our rapidly evolving and expanding original programming slates internationally.
In this role, you will primarily support Amazon's scripted television series and feature-length motion picture original local language content initiatives across emerging international regions, with a focus on managing all legal aspects during development to production.
Key responsibilities include:
Structuring, drafting, and negotiating agreements for scripted series and motion picture projects, including production services agreements, rights option/purchase agreements, key above-the-line agreements such as writer, producer and director agreements, first look and overall agreements, and co-production agreements.
Structuring tax incentive arrangements.
Managing chain-of-title across projects and evaluating and resolving complex rights issues.
Analyzing issues, interpreting contracts and providing thoughtful legal advice to various client groups (creative, business affairs, production, marketing, publicity and other teams) on potential risks and issues involving a wide range of legal and regulatory areas, including intellectual property, defamation, rights of publicity and privacy rights, guilds/unions, labor and employment, immigration, public policy, safety, and compliance matters.
Overseeing local outside counsel with respect to the above and assisting with the development of forms, processes and policies.
This position will be based in Culver City, California.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
