We are looking for a talented Corporate Counsel to support our rapidly evolving and expanding programming slates.
In this role, you will handle all legal aspects of production of original scripted and non-scripted television series and feature-length motion pictures, including helping to develop forms and policies, and structuring, drafting and negotiating a wide range of complicated agreements such as performer, writer, producer and directors agreements, documentary and reality participant and access agreements, below-the-line crew agreements and other production related agreements.
You will be responsible for all legal matters during the course of production, including evaluating rights issues, structuring tax incentives, reviewing content for copyright, trademark and defamation risks as well as standards and practices compliance, advising on guild issues, reviewing marketing and publicity materials, and overseeing outside production counsel.
You will also analyze and interpret contracts and provide thoughtful legal advice on potential risks and issues in a wide range of legal areas, including intellectual property, labor and employment, immigration, public policy, safety, and tax.
Some travel, domestic and international, may be required.
The position will be based in Culver City, California.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
